I use it for a hobby project: a weather station running on raspberry pi and touch screen. Allows me to write it in python, and display charts and metrics without running the entire X11 stack. Seemed like the simplest and most productive stack to build something like this. Has good support for postgres to get the data efficiently, charting and touch input.
