Facebook deletes page of protesting Indian farmers
- throw93 6y agoContext: Tens of thousands of Indian farmers are protesting at the outskirts of the Delhi for 3rd week now. They’ve set up social media presence to fight misinformation spread in mainstream news channels. Their Facebook page was deleted the same day it was created. The same Facebook India allowed really toxic pages spreading hate to continue for months until WSJ wrote about it. https://www.wsj.com/articles/facebook-hate-speech-india-politics-muslim-hindu-modi-zuckerberg-11597423346 https://www.wsj.com/articles/facebook-hate-speech-india-poli...
