We're going to be remembered as the last generation before the internet.
- mhh__ 6y agoWe? I think roughly around my year of birth (2001 - if that makes anyone feel old) is one of the last to grow up with "proper" computers rather than just iPads and phones.
- bserge 6y agoOn that note, it's always funny how kids try to use old hardware like a touchscreen
- freehunter 6y agoHeck I’m in my 30s and I do that sometimes. I just set up a new Mac after using an iPad Pro for a few months and the number of times I touched the screen is embarrassing.

- bserge 6y agoHa, voice control was all the rage for a while... before everyone realized it's just impractical
- jakeva 6y agoMaybe you forgot about Siri, Ok Google, Cortana, Alexa?
- bserge 6y agoFrom what I read on here and Reddit, the majority of people (myself included) use them to set timers, look something up and rarely, dictate messages. And not even half the time - they're useless in noisy environments. A far cry from the complete voice control and feedback we've seen in Sci-fi :/
- throwaway201103 6y agoIn the mid 1980s my local public library had an electronic card catalog with a touch screen interface. It was quite granular of course, being an 80x25 character green CRT display, but it was a touch screen.
