Faulty planes reportedly poison passengers on hundreds of flights
- lrossi 6y agoMight make more sense to visit directly the original report: https://www.latimes.com/projects/toxic-chemicals-planes-covid-19-travel-woes/ https://www.latimes.com/projects/toxic-chemicals-planes-covi...
- BuildTheRobots 6y agoThe LA Times link is much better than the futurism piece. Nicely written, far more detail and pleasingly laid out - thank you for the link :)
- tlb 6y agoLink changed from the blogspammy https://futurism.com/the-byte/faulty-planes-reportedly-poisoned-passengers https://futurism.com/the-byte/faulty-planes-reportedly-poiso..., thanks.
- cududa 6y agoI’ve always been curious about this. I had one flight where the whole plane smelled god awful - almost like cat pee - and my checked bag and overhead stowed bag were stained with this god awful smell that refused to come out. Wonder if it’s something related
- rurban 6y agoLooks like a big class action lawsuit is coming for Boeing and Airbus. Oil leakage sensors are cheap and robust, the health risk is undeniable and there are enough cases to make such lawsuits profitable. Even if regulators step in now. Could be the last blow to Boeing to change their management culture back to old days, before McDonald Douglas took over. They were a decent company before.
