I’m not currently a vegetarian, but I’m pretty sure we’re gonna see a massive cultural shift away from current ethical standards about killing animals very shortly after lab grown meat hits the market in a significant way. If it’s as cheap or cheaper to eat no-kill meat, people won’t want the ethical stain on their conscience for any products (leather, whatever else) anymore. That’s also completely ignoring the massive environmental issues.
