No. It’s an extremely contagious airborne virus that many people don’t even know they have. By staying home you help reduce transmission and the deaths of others. The countries that didn’t do this have more death.

You spread the virus when you’re sick, generally noticeably so - coughing, etc. We don’t even have strong evidence of this being strongly spread with asymptomatic people. Anyone that’s not rich cannot afford to stay home. They have family to feed and unfortunately to people above a certain income level, they interpret this as being “selfish.”

- gnusty_gnurc 6y agoI haven’t a clue - what I do know is that you’ve argued “it’s American” to “help others” and by that you mean welding people in their homes and dragging family members forcibly from their homes.

- gnusty_gnurc 6y agoAgain - lockdown is a policy advocated by the rich. It is a policy only wealthy nations can afford - and even then it’s massively disruptive. On the individual level, not everyone can Zoom to work. It is seriously tone deaf and divorced from normal, working class reality to just say “why can’t everyone stay home?” And then suggesting people are evil if they don’t want to.
