- tomaszs 6y agoDownsides of webapps: 1. Webapps can be used without 3rd party involved. It means propertiary platforms can not earn from it. 2. Propertiary platforms can not block and delete apps that compete with their offering 3. Webapps functionalities can be limited by browser developers. 4. Some browsers are developed by the owners of propertiary platforms that earn from native apps. 5. It is a conflict of interest, that can hurt webapp creators. 6. Browser developers can limit webapps making propertiary platform apps look like better ones. = Webapps are better than native apps. If you like open internet develop and use web apps when possible.
