Because China is literally 10x the GDP of Russia. The West, and particularly the USA, is willing to give up what it gets from Russia because it would have little impact. The same can not be said about China.
- xg15 6y agoBut this pretty much proves the GP's point - that there are no actual morals or higher principles to who can get away with human rights violations and who gets sanctioned, it's simply about power.
