- whatshisface 6y agoThe first one sounds like the commenter knows that their boss would cancel the contract if they realized what was going on, so the parent is taking careful steps to avoid talking about what they don't want their boss to discover.
- rriepe 6y agoIt's called the chilling effect. The most 'chilling' thing about it is that it's entirely rational.
