My 8yr-old just hacked his way around iOS Guided Access
In his words..
Daddy! I tried a few passcodes I thought would work because they worked last time for me (he can read finger placements), but then it kept telling me to wait more and more..I guess you changed it to something new huh?
So I just waited a few more seconds like it told me (120), and a little more, until your phone would die of power, and then when I rebooted it.. no more guided access!!!
- m463 6y agoHe should put up a youtube video to help other 8-year olds. That's how my friend's son was able to get one of those grocery-store visa cards, and then purchase nintendo games with grandma's birthday money.
- Someone 6y agoDaddy should set iOS to ask for a password at startup. I don’t think there’s a way to have Guided Access protect against users hard-rebooting the system by holding down the home and power buttons.
