I felt some minor irony here... @ Most of the folks affected by these actions of Apple and FB don't read the physical paper; I sub to NYT online so never saw the ads. (But of course, it's not aimed at the people who might be impacted but the legislators who still love paper.) @ The newspaper sub is tied to my postal address. The ads are literally linked with pii... Which is the very thing the argument is about. (Well, I exaggerate, paper isn't tracking my actions, but still... ironic)
