Had you used an iPad before? I'm interested in hearing the difference between the two. The Remarkable 2 looks great. I use my iPad primarily as a note-taking/brainstorming tool with the Apple Pencil, Notability and a paper-like screen protector that makes it feel more like paper.
- mstipetic 6y agoI have used the iPad but not with the paper-like screen protector so I can't comment on that configuration. The feel of the remarkable is much better in my opinion. Tbh, it's not only about that, I'm really trying to reduce my interactions with modern tech (especially the notifications, email drip campaigns and such) and this is the main benefit of remarkable for me, but it might not be for everyone. I'm gonna work towards just sending pdfs of articles/papers to it automatically and having it as my main way of consuming media. The remarkable could use some more usability features (https://github.com/ddvk/remarkable-hacks https://github.com/ddvk/remarkable-hacks thinking of installing this), and a backlight but it is what it is
