TikTok Bans MLMs and Content That Aims to Deceive People for Financial Gain
- yummypaint 6y agoLooks like it only applies to non-religious organizations
- viro 6y agoNo one wants the "smoke" related to determining what IS or IS NOT a legitimate religious activity. So yea I don't blame them for not going after tithing.
- gedy 6y agoSo like cute, untouchable gals pushing their onlyfans page? :-)
- mbStavola 6y agoHow does this relate to "multi-level marketing" or "deception for financial gain?"
- mrlala 6y agoOP is not really wrong.. half of what ends up on the front of tiktok is girls literally advertising themselves to get your attention so you visit their profile to find their instagram and then to get the onlyfans link. So I would agree it's "deception" in terms of they are pretending to post actual content, but it's 100% meant to be an advertisement for financial gain. And hey whatever they can do as they please.. but it really does fall under a similar category.
- dooglius 6y agoExcept, of course, for ads officially purchased through it
- viro 6y agothose are clearly marked tho. The issue is shit not being clearly marked is very illegal.
