'do no evil' is not their motto any more. G would gradually make this team 'redundant' or irrelevant .
- visarga 6y agoFiring one person does not mean that when they said they have over 200 people working on responsible AI. They probably cost tens of millions per year.
- tehjoker 6y agoIt could mean that the others are all doing what management wants them to do without wading into contentious but important areas. Simply having a team hired is wonderful propaganda for Google management because people can make exactly this claim without going into specifics.
