Coinbase seems to be the most trustworthy of all exchanges. Most coins in cold storage plus insurance on top of the hot wallet. They also offer Coinbase wallet where you control your keys.
I’m considering moving to a trusted exchange.
Do you see disadvantages in storing and managing all on your own? It also carries risk. I’m more frightened to loose my Trezor T than Coinbase screwing me.
- latchkey 6y agoEven if you have a trezor (or other hardware wallet), you back up your private keys (all those words) somewhere else. That is the real security hole in all of this, not the risk of losing your device.
