Is there a reason why HN is orange?
- robjan 6y agoIt's the Y Combinator corporate colour
- dang 6y agoTrue, but that's not the reason. The reason (for both) is that pg likes orange.
- LoveMortuus 6y agoWhat if... The colour could reflect the time of day and the of the year? Thus over time we could say that the purple time is coming which means it's the fun part of the year!
- dang 6y agoYou can do that yourself once you can set your top color, which happens at a certain level of karma. I think it's 250.
- LoveMortuus 6y agoWow! More fun stuff opens up as you earn more Karma? Had anyone reached the end level?
- timwis 6y agoThe devs implemented a halloween theme just before losing their SSH key for the production server about 10 years ago.

- harperlee 6y agoYou can choose your preferred colour in your settings. Mine is #abdcef pale blue. @dang it would be awesome if this also translated to the icon and favicon :| I know, I know, it would be crazy.
