No amount of maskless social distancing can keep you safe but still be able to socialize with others. 6’ is not a number that was derived from science. When investigated, scientists said it was more like 20’. But having masks and learning how to wear them properly allows people to engage in almost normal social gatherings. This is based on the fractional levels of infections in countries with extremely high compliance like Korea and Japan.

Your situation is atypical. So condoms may not be a good solution for you. But for society in general, condoms are the best solution. No amount of condomless masturbation can keep you safe but still be able to casually fuck random strangers at will for funsies. But having condoms and learning how to use them properly allows people to engage in almost normal casual fuckery because we are convinced there is absolutely no other means whatsoever to get our sexual and emotional needs met and consider such to be more important than actual safety. Though I do like your stat that 20 feet is better than 6. That fits with my firsthand observations and at least introduces a little science to a discussion that tends to lack real science.
