VA Code is great on win, bit on macos its really not great given that its not native. What native IDE do you prefer?

Xcode is the native IDE on Mac. It's as good as VS, but it's C/C++/Obj-C/Swift only.

Looking for something that would play well for web development, python, nodejs, vuejs, angular, some bash

me, i'm on a MBP 2015 and i use neovim a lot for node, angular and bash... but you can use the same VSCode or sublime, if you wish.

I use VS Code on Mac for Python development all the time. It works fine.

If your reluctance to use VSCode on Mac is related to terminal lag, check out this post for a fix. https://github.com/microsoft/vscode/issues/105446#issuecomment-727220198 https://github.com/microsoft/vscode/issues/105446#issuecomme... I tend to use VSCode and/or Sublime Text myself
