Not true.. the old Clinton era law states that after 30 to 90 days FBI has to tell someone that they asked for records.
- btilly 15y agoYour information is seriously out of date. The PATRIOT act takes precedence, and it famously authorized gag orders where the people under surveillance cannot be told that their information was requested by law enforcement.
