This is like measuring column inches for a writer, and number of drafts for an editor to review.
This is not how I measure the performance of anyone on any of my teams.
- lopkeny12ko 6y agoThere's a lot of value in using objective, unbiased, and verifiable data to support performance review decisions. Too many promotions are awarded to low performers and denied to high performers for no reason other than politics and personal favorability. On every team I've been on, the highest performers are always the ones submitting the most PRs and changes. Using such objective data in a promo packet would be a step in the right direction.

I hope to help fellow eng managers get unbiased and objective data as one of the inputs for performance management. I'm actively iterating on the product offering. Would love to hear some feedbacks!
