Ask HN: What are your New Year's resolutions for 2021?
- _hxjy 6y agoMove out of California. Start a new career. Switch my ambition from having a great career to having a great life.
- the_only_law 6y agowhat's your career now (if you have one), what are trying to do, just curious.
- _hxjy 6y agoI work in entertainment. I’ll probably switch to advertising simply because there would be a lot of transferable skills, there’s a big ad market in Colorado, and that seems like a nice place to live.
- vuciv1 6y agoto stop ordering food on these damn apps
- the_only_law 6y agoJesus same here, don't even want to know how much money I drained this year.
- ryanchants 6y agoI've started cutting back. Two things I did: Removed my credit cards after ordering, so I'd be forced to re-enter them to order. Added a Firefox/Chrome page blocker. Easy enough to get around, but these two things together gave me enough times to pause and remember that I put the difficulties in there for a reason. Next step might be to block them at the network level.

- karmakaze 6y agoI don't to succeed/fail resolutions at prescribed calendar dates. Good to think/talk about and institute a behaviour. My most immediate and ongoing effort is to maintain/improve cardio and build up some lost muscle mass. I'm not athletic by any means, but the stay-at-home life has been having negative health effects. Should probably add going outside for brisk walks, even/especially through the winter.
- lukaszkups 6y agoRelease my side-project and earn some extra money from it.
- giantg2 6y agoI'm not sure yet. I think I would like to increase my passive income by publishing a children's book or inventing something (I have a few ideas). I'm sure I'll fail.
