Show HN: I made an iOS/macOS widget that combines other widgets
- Bioengine 6y agoI always thought that Apple should merge Calendar and Reminders. The only reason to even think about other calendar apps like Fantastical for me was because it shows you your day at a glance, with something like calendar and something like reminders in one view. So i wrote this app that i call Onward and it shows system Calendar and system Reminders in one widget. It matches system Calendar widgets look pretty much exactly (all 3 sizes) It shows more upcoming events (system ones only show today and tomorrow) It's a single app for iOS and macOS (no Apple Silicon required) And as a bonus i discovered that it's so easy to have specialized widgets now! For example i have a widget that only shows upcoming birtdays. You can have one to show upcoming holidays. Or just have one that shows just Reminders because actual Reminders widget is weird.
