I've said it many times before but it's worth repeating...
The Internet survived just fine before all the ads and tracking and it will survive fine without it.
- josteink 6y agoBack then the internet was created and run by enthusiasts which passionately wanted to share and build. Today it’s run by people, standing on their shoulders, whose dominant motivation is making money or how to “capitalise” on something, something which they have no fundamental interests or passion for. Obviously the outcome is going to be different.
