- blendo 6y agoStarting in the 1920’s, when music and theatre first became “memorialized” onto film and vinyl, entertainment culture seems to have entered a new era: one beyond our previous textual (theatrical) scripts and musical notation. - 8bitsrule 6y agoAt a late-teen, I realized that mass-media offerings - TV and radio, news about celebrities, boxed sets of 'favorite hits' - were skewed to older people's expectations. Since then I've noticed that once celebrities die, stories about them tend to fade away. I guess the same happens with generations. (The market for new Elvis box-sets is probably not worth pursuing.) (Notice that Randall left THE CHIPMUNKS out of that chart? That's a tell!)
