"Why does it rain so often in cyberpunk stories?" Yeah, why?
More generally: why has "tech" (hating that label more and more, but here goes) become so enamored with such a narrow aesthetic, and along the way forgotten it's supposed to be dystopian and not to be used as a blueprint for reality?
- frogulis 6y agoI think it's because cyberpunk is generally just a few major technological breakthroughs and <200 years away. People are finding beauty in a dystopian-yet-all-too-relatable world.
