For $20k a month I would have started educating myself real fast.
- jldugger 6y agoIt's only 240k a year, which is pretty standard SV wages.
- Jowsey 6y agoGod, I just _love_ how out of touch the American tech industry is from the rest of the world.
- jldugger 6y agoMe too, pays the bills =) My point is, if 20k/month motivates you, Silicon Valley has hundreds of thousands of people in that category. And by many perspectives, they are underpaid. Really, I'm just saddened by how out of touch the rest of the world is on the subject.
- hamandcheese 6y agoYes, I'm aware that $20k/month salary is readily achievable SV. But $20k/month to be your own boss is a bit harder to come by.
- overcast 6y agoThe difference being you’re a slave to a corporation, and this way you’re not.
- jldugger 6y agoI know people frame it as 'be your own boss' but really it's just going from one boss to hundreds.
