Yes you'll always get some constant of random picks, but you also have to understand that our social circles hugely limit us from representative samples of the population's opinions. The only people I know who have actually been in crazy cat lady houses were because they worked as repairmen, since there you'll get a sample of the population which needs their furnace looked at sometimes
