Ads have always been opt in.
- istjohn 6y agoNot true. There are ads on new tabs that are opt out.
- jonathansampson 6y agoThose are Sponsored Images, which aren't categorically the same as Brave Ads. The latter have always been opt-in, but you're correct that Sponsored Images are on by default. That said, they can be hidden with 2 clicks form the New Tab Page.
