Well, there is a driver for ACPI.
I have the vague souvenir of Linus Torvalds calling BIOS/UEFI dev "monkeys on crack" or something along the line...
- raverbashing 6y agoYes but on top of that Linus had a very "stern taking to" kernel developers who would fix it for one model but break it for others, so has made sure developers wouldn't break each others code
