The biggest advantage to sleep/hibernate isn’t time to first work. It’s being able to resume exactly where you last were. I came from Linux laptops to MacBooks 6 years ago and that was such a big improvement. Not having to think about where I’m pausing my work. Even with the Linux laptop only failing to wake up about 20%. Although sometimes it’d fail to sleep and empty my battery and heat my backpack.
