My last 2 laptops: T440s and an XPS 13 (9310) have both not had this issue, and that accounts for about the last 6 years of linux laptop usage for me. Several crummy laptops (the 300-700 dollar range at best buy) prior to that have had it, though.
- MrOwen 6y agoI have a similar experience with T4xx laptops. I think most likely answer is every engineer at Red Hat is given a thinkpad T or P series so I figure plenty of them contributed fixes for sleep, power, etc. Dell obviously has Linux certified laptops so I'm sure it's a similar story.
