Does that account for the high rates of co-morbidities associated with coronavirus deaths? I remember reading that 99% of Italian victims had co-morbidities. In any case, I wouldn't doubt that the victims had their lives cut short by several years. The same could be said about other illnesses where most fatal cases are among the elderly, e.g. if the typical elderly victim of cancer hadn't contracted it, they would likely have lived for several more years.
