Will instantly fail if you need to nav to a different domain at any point in your test .
Say you have happysite.com , but your using parentsite.com to authenticate, Cypress will explode instantly. If your test will ever leave your first domain, same thing.
Don't take shortcuts, use Puppeteer or it's successor Playwright
- andyhmltn 6y agoCan’t say we’ve experienced this at all. Part of our test involves navigating to a third party site (gocardless) to set up a direct debit. The test works fantastically well and is a pretty crucial part of our flow, so we’ve come to rely on it.

- inglor 6y agoI agree with the sentiment but just want to mention Playwright isn't the "successor" of Puppeteer and both have pros and cons. Puppeteer is very much still in active development.
