By contrast I hear stories of AWS doing this quite often for one-off mistakes (crediting thousands of dollars). It doesn't make much sense to me not to consider well-intentioned requests for this sort of thing. Especially if you consider the dollar value of all those approvals and the business you might lose to some other platform and/or hesitance people will have to use those platforms for such things in the future.
