Say you wanted to publish/livestream video and decent cd-quality audio, like live-streaming your band rehearsals. Does that even get you close to needing gigabit? I can't think of a setup that wouldn't mix it down to one stereo stream before hitting the net.
Although that'd be pretty cool to be able to publish/livestream your stems and multiple video angles.
- bluedino 6y agoCD-quality audio is only 1.411Kbps
- olyjohn 6y agoAnd that's totally uncompressed PCM audio! FLAC will at least compress it somewhat without quality loss.
- vel0city 6y agoI got caught off guard by your notation here. For those using commas at home, that's one thousand four hundred eleven kilobits per second, or 1.411Mbps. At first I thought you were saying it was one and a half kilobits a second.
