Reddit Is Down
- ExactActuation 6y agoYup, it sure is. I'm getting a 504 Gateway Timeout. Oh well, HN is better anyway. ;-)
- tpmx 6y agoI just tested from VPNs in Europe/US/Asia: Down from all three locations (with zero cookies).
- segfaultbuserr 6y ago> Oh well, HN is better anyway. ;-) Until you need to look for some technical information and web search brings you to Reddit, which is currently down. :(
- organian 6y agoInterestingly, their status page shows mostly green and "Operational" (albeit along with telltale spikes in backlogs and a drop in requests): https://www.redditstatus.com/ https://www.redditstatus.com/
- mystcb 6y agohttps://www.redditstatus.com/incidents/qr5vky5kwn3r https://www.redditstatus.com/incidents/qr5vky5kwn3r This is the specific part on their status page for the outage
- tpmx 6y agoJust now: "Identified - reddit.com is currently down. A fix has been identified and is in the process of being applied. Dec 10, 14:04 PST"
- tpmx 6y agoNow it's back up.
- danellis 6y agoWhat's newsworthy about this?
- nicbou 6y agoThis is hardly newsworthy. Reddit is frequently unstable. That being said, after blocking reddit and a few other websites for the entire day (thanks selfcontrol.app), I was looking forward to browse and relax... aaaaand it's down.
- boogies 6y agoI wonder: is it possible for reddit.com to go down without teddit.net also going down? (I didn’t test while reddit was down, both are up by now).
