I currently have about 8 squeezeboxes around the house in three buildings (mostly wifi connected, few receivers, few radios, few touches and one boom).
Sync is one of the features which just work perfectly, beat-perfectly.
Of course when turning on one player it will pause the music for 3 to 5 seconds to catch up but then it just works.
- bestham 6y agoYes, for the original hardware, with known latency it worked wonders. But software implementations on different hardware stacks, often with i2s dacs that don’t report their latency back to the OS makes for a headache inducing sync.
