A friend of mine (who's nearly 50) put in over 2000 hours into playing Destiny one year. That's about the same as a full time job. He has a wife and two kids, and a very full time job.
Doing that much work on a side gig is totally possible if you want to do it and have the right disposition.
- jmcgough 6y agoGranted, 2000 hours is a lot, but most humans need at least some time to unwind and relax in order to maintain high levels of productivity.

- marmaduke 6y agoThat’s over 5 hours a day. If you have wife and kids and a job then either you, your job or your family is missing out.
- djeiasbsbo 6y agoOkay, but how healthy is it really? Maybe I am projecting my issues onto other people but I often get less sleep when I invest a lot of time into my side projects as well as my job.
