  To be fair there's always going to be hacks and glue to put together an opinionated project like this. But adding proper mpris support upstream rather than using their own hacky wrappers would have been useful to contribute. I'm on the bug lists of most of the upstream projects and I don't recall any contributions from these guys (yet) which is a bit sad.
