You can't really compare 1000 sales to 1000 streams. Each individual sale would (hopefully) have resulted in many streams over its lifetime.

- npteljes 6y agoAlso many of the streams wouldn't have translated to sales. If it wasn't for the algorithm to pick the tracks as background music when the user was doing whatever else, the song wouldn't have been played at all. Similar how pirated game downloads wouldn't translate to sales - often the game wouldn't have been bought at all, and the person would have just done something else with their time.
