- 1cvmask 6y agoRecognition by definition acquires targets and recognizes them. With computing so cheap now you upload and target and recognize millions of items easily and at scale. They have been doing this for ages in say London, which has the highest density of cameras per capita in the world for a large city. Many societies have already accepted such technologies without even a discussion around them and addressing privacy concerns. The typical argument for the surveillance state in most societies is security, safety and keeping terrorists at bay.
