If you care this much about ergonomics you're probably using a trackball and haven't touched a movable mouse in a decade.
I switched four months ago and my small remaining wrist issues are completely gone.
- GordonS 6y agoI do care about ergonomics, and everyone comments that I hold a mouse a bit Strangely (kind of at an angle), but I just can't get used to a trackball :( I've tried a few things, the first something like 20 years ago. More recently I stuck with it for a full week, but it still felt really awkward, and like I just couldn't be as accurate as with a mouse. If you've any pointers (hur hur), they'd be much appreciated!
- ahelwer 6y agoPrior to this I was using an ergonomic vertical mouse, so I found it very easy to switch to the Kensington Pro Fit Ergo where you use your thumb to move the cursor: https://www.kensington.com/p/products/electronic-control-solutions/trackball-products/pro-fit-ergo-vertical-wireless-trackball/ https://www.kensington.com/p/products/electronic-control-sol... Critical to the experience was disabling the "Enhance Pointer Precision" setting on Windows, which ironically felt like it does the exact opposite of what it says. I probably wouldn't use it for, say, competitive FPS games but for regular workflow stuff it's just great.
