It may not be uncommon in the US but shouldn't it be? Do you know what your rights are when the cops show up at your door with a search warrant? If that happened to me I'd probably be finding and calling a lawyer with that 20 minutes, not setting up an ambush for the cops in a house with children inside.
- giantg2 6y agoBut they couldn't possibly know if she's doing one or the other. The rights/procedures for the search warrant vary by state. I have a general understanding of them for my state. Every citizen should learn their rights. I think it's terrible, and a sign of a poor state of education and civic duty that so few people know their rights. This lack of knowledge allows violations to happen without any punishment.
