I don't quite get the actual mechanism by which this incentivizes energy efficiency investments, or why blockchain is required vs normal debt, but the "blockchain, but for climate solutions" idea appears in "The Ministry for the Future", where it also looks like a weird idea.
- saeranv 6y agoI was just considering reading that book today. What are your thoughts on it? Is the tech prognostications realistic otherwise?
- jefurii 6y agoI'm about 2/3 through it. I also thought the blockchain stuff was a bit weird and buzzwordy, but technology is not really the point of this book. It's more about the kinds of social/political/economic changes needed to address climate change and other problems, which in this case includes ecoterrorism and revolution.
