My Kickstarter that I’ve been working on for a year now and that backers have been waiting on for months was on that ship. Needless to say, it’s been a brutal week.
- jacquesm 6y agoChances are it still is on that ship.
- rob74 6y agoAs someone else already figured out, the chance that the container is still on the ship is around 75% (assuming that the lost containers were all 40ft, that would be 3600 TEU out of the ship's capacity of 14000 TEU) - however, even if it is still on the ship, there will probably be delays while they carefully unload the damaged containers. Not to forget that the ship will probably head to the next port, not to its actual destination...
- jacquesm 6y agoYes, but that's better than even chances that their load will be preserved. This is part and parcel of the risk of ordering stuff from far away.
- irjustin 6y agoAbsolutely sucks and sorry to hear. Are you related to ijidak's post (chalkboardmap.com) or another kickstarter?
