The only way they are going to float for any period of time is if teh contents are watertight and low density
- toomuchtodo 6y ago“Wind and Water Tight” (WWT) is a specific condition/description of shipping container. I would agree they’re not air tight. https://www.carucontainers.com/en-br/faq/what-does-wind-and-water-tight-wwt-mean-exactly https://www.carucontainers.com/en-br/faq/what-does-wind-and-...
- benatkin 6y agoThey could be accidentally air tight. https://twitter.com/Dankmemsandmeme/status/1312777204187705345 https://twitter.com/Dankmemsandmeme/status/13127772041877053...
- medion 6y agoI think also if they are refrigerated and full of food, the food rots and gases off, keeping them afloat longer. Also, I recall something about certain containers (or maybe it was just an experiment?) having holes in them plugged with a material which dissolves after extended exposure to saltwater - so within a few hours they sink.
