Building the Fastest Raspberry Pi NAS, with SATA Raid
- magicalhippo 6y agoThis setup is getting close to a new x86 mini-ITX setup in price. The x86 solution would likely give better performance, and at the very least more and faster I/O. And that's with brand new parts, for x86 chances are a lot have or can get some old parts that'll do just fine. So either you must really want to use the Pi for some reason (GPIO say), or you must really want the small size. Otherwise I don't quite see the point.
