Sure, if the name, type, and context of a variable can completely encode all the details that I need to know when working on the code, then fine, we can skip the doc comments.
Do you think that's possible for every field in all, or even most, applications and languages? I do not. And so I don't think we should be allergic to a few wasted sentences of prose.
- jaywalk 6y agoOf course it's not possible. And that's why the sane requirement for comments is to use them where something might not be obvious.
