Personally I think they're plain dumb. Not saying I can't hide my ego and move on, just that I think they're a massive waste of time on a leaky abstraction rooted in organizations that value talking about things more than doing them.

- thiht 6y agoUML class diagrams are overrated but they're not the only UML diagrams. UML sequence diagrams are pure gold. I have no idea how you can accomplish anything remotely complex without extensively talking about it (and writing it down!) first. It works fine for 2-months projects, but not for 2-years projects.
