I haven’t heard that phrase as much, why do you think it’s better?

  Not the poster, but I agree with them. "Social" distancing says to me at least, avoid people period. Don't talk to them. Don't communicate in any way. Be asocial, if you will. "Physical" distancing is exactly what it says, keep your distance from others, and has no impact on the social aspect of daily life.

    I think part of the reason for the social distancing term is that it implies there need to be less restrictions in a non-social (ie work) context, which is of course BS.
